2 min readTo say I’m a pillow snob is an understatement: I inspect every cushion that comes my way with an unwavering precision that would make The Princess and the Pea look lazy. I like–no, need–my pillows to be soft, down-filled, and perfectly plump. Anything else will get an instant thumbs down from me, and probably cause some relentless upper body pain come morning. Except for hotel pillows, I’ve only ever really liked Casper’s Original Pillow, which is on sale during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days. (Today is the LAST day to shop, by the way!)
I know Casper is best known for its direct-to-consumer mattresses; its pillows are amazing too. Made with a down alternative fill, it has a medium-soft feel that’s like the Goldilocks of cushions: Substantial, but not so stiff that I have to worry about waking up with a massive crick in my neck. And thanks to its multi-layered construction—a cotton cover, soft outer pillow, and supportive inner layer—it feels so plush.
If you need to freshen up your pillow, it’s machine-washable. Bonus points: This pillow even comes with a cooling layer for an additional fee. I’m a hot sleeper, so you better believe I’ll also buy this version the next time it’s on sale.
Truthfully, I don’t have one sleeping position—I mostly lie on my side, but will occasionally roll onto my back or stomach—but I’ve found this pillow is comfortable no matter how much I toss and turn. My husband, who is a serial side sleeper, is also a fan, which is why we buy a two-pack every few years. In fact, I recently bought one for when we stay at my in-laws' house because, in true diva fashion, nothing else would do.
