Aldi has just released a limited-edition advent calendar for £24.99, featuring 25 scented candles – the ideal way to bring a festive glow and a lovely seasonal scent to your home this Christmas.
Candles are an undefeated interiors hero in autumn and winter. As the days get darker, few things bring the cosy factor quite like a couple of lit candles placed around the room (or the bathub) – especially when they smell good, too.
Those who go through around two maxi packs of tealights each season will love Aldi's new advent calendar, which includes a scented candle for each day of the Christmas countdown.
Designed to look like a snow-covered vintage gingerbread house that reveals charming illustrations of gingerbread men, bows and snowflakes on the little boxes inside, it doubles as a charming decoration during the day, before or after you open each door in the morning or evening.
Each box contains one 50g scented candle, in one of six festive scents: Warm Gingerbread, Hot Cocoa, Frosted Fir, White Christmas, Cinnamon Spice and Iced Berries. With a total of 25 candles, you'll get each scent four times, with one extra candle to enjoy on Christmas Day.
Fragrance Lovers Advent Calendar
At £24.99, the calendar works out to be just under £1 per candle. It's a budget-friendly alternative to Yankee Candle's Fragrance Lovers Advent Calendar, which costs £59.99 and contains just 24 candles – making Aldi's one around 58 per cent cheaper.
With its delightfully retro design, it's a charming way to add a little whimsy to your interiors and bring some extra cosiness to your home this festive season.
The calendar will land in stores across the UK on 25th October 2026. As with all of Aldi's Specialbuys, it'll be available only while stock lasts, so you'll need to be quick if you want to snap one up. In Aldi's own words: 'When it’s gone, it’s gone!'
