When it comes to kitchenware, it really doesn't get much better than Le Creuset's sleek, sturdy and stylish pots and pans. So, whenever we hear that the French heritage brand has launched yet another chic colourway to their range, we're all ears.

As the days turn cooler, Le Creuset has unveiled Château, a sophisticated new neutral with soft blue-grey tones. It’s a more understated addition to the brand’s famously colourful palette, for anyone who prefers a quieter look in the kitchen.

Le Creuset says its nuanced white-blue-grey shade was inspired by the architecture of 'historic French estates' – a quietly elegant look we’d love to bring into our own kitchens.

The range 'draws inspiration from the soft blue-grey tones of French stone and sky, and the enduring beauty of materials that grow more characterful with time – from weathered limestone walls and slate roofs to age-softened courtyards'. We can certainly get on board with this type of ultra-luxe, yet effortlessly relaxed feeling.

However, if you haven't quite managed to secure your own French estate just yet (lottery win, here we come), there's no doubt this neutral shade will work excellently in almost all spaces.

Whether your kitchen is sleek and modern or cosy and traditional, Château’s cool white-blue-grey tones are designed to sit comfortably in a range of spaces. The shade shifts with the light too. As Le Creuset puts it, it is 'lifted by the morning sun and deepened by evening shadow'.

The shade is available across many of Le Creuset’s signature pieces, including its much-loved round, oval and shallow casseroles – ideal for warming winter dishes.

You can also pick up their ever-popular square skillet (£175) in their sleek Château shade, which is ideal for grilling thanks to its impressive cast-iron construction. It's also available on the underside of their £239 wooden handle frying pan, which is a beloved item among both home chefs and professionals.

Bakers can also purchase the rectangular dish for £55, along with some much-loved Le Creuset accessories.
