Most people go to The Home Depot and pick up some wooden planks, a few cans of paint, or, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, a shed. But a couch? Historically, furniture would be one of the last things we’d think to buy at the mega-home maintenance shop. However, we changed our tune the moment content creators and homebodies started talking about Magic Home’s Modular couch. Because, let’s be honest, this couch is going to be everywhere.
There are a lot of couches on the market, but what makes this one so covetable? For many, it’s the comfort, cuddle-ready construction. Decked out with 30-inch-deep cushions, each oversized seat is perfect for stretching out, curling up, or even sitting criss-cross. Though content creator Mia Smith loves the “huge and deep” silhouette, she was really sold on the couch’s high back. “It is much more comfortable than a lot of other oversized sectionals,” she tells House Beautiful.
Plus, it’s oh-so-cozy—and a dead-ringer for a cloud couch. Each seat is filled with a two-inch-thick, high-density sponge layer and down-silk blend. In a TikTok, content creator Leigha Noelle says it “gives you a nice hug.”
Comfortable might be the Magic Home modular’s main draw, but it looks good, too. Not only is it available in several colors and fabrics, but the upholstery is removable and washable, which Smith says “makes it really easy to keep clean.”
Oh, and in true modular fashion, you can add more pieces or rework the layout whenever you see fit. All these factors are exactly why content creator Kristin Rezapour took to Instagram to call this couch “perfection.”
Cloud couches are comfy and chic, but cheap they are not. Magic Home, fortunately, is different. Prices will vary based on the exact model you buy—some come with power recliners, built-in heaters, and USB ports!—but most options are available for under $3,000.
Smith purchased her couch about a year ago and says it’s held up nicely. “For the price, I truly think it’s one of the best couches you can buy,” Smith tells House Beautiful. “I would absolutely buy it again.”
