Dining Room

The dining room’s table is from Chicago-based Jayson Home, where Kirk is vice president of merchandising. The rug, reportedly hailing from a castle in England, was purchased at a flea market there. The chairs are also Jayson Home, with custom cushions made from vintage grain sacks from the Cloth Shop in London. Curtains, RH, Restoration Hardware.

While beautiful, Kirk knew this living room wouldn't work with a toddler. The easy-to-stain fabric sofas were the first to go.

"We're collectors," says Kirk. "I do so much traveling for work and always come home with something." In the living room, collections are displayed on Ikea shelves framed by mirrored walls. The Jayson Home sofa is in a Sunbrella fabric.

With a baby on the way, Kirk turned their television den into a nursery. But he felt that their home wouldn't be complete without a cozy den, so he added the family hangout space to their dining area.
