Georgian style homes have been voted the most 'architecturally desirable' properties in the UK, a new study by Anglian Home Improvements has revealed.
There are many features Brits look for when considering a move to a new property. Whether it's garden size, home layout or location, everyone has their own preferred styles when house hunting.
But now new research has found that elegant, classic styles of Georgian properties are one of the most sought-after types of home, closely followed by Victorian and Tudor.
The research also uncovered the exterior features favoured the most by Brits. Large windows came in at the top, followed by bay windows, porches and stone. However, the items Brits were less keen on included flat roofs, small windows and pebbledash.
'Our rich and colourful architectural history has resulted in homes that have changed dramatically throughout the ages in terms of design and features,' says Costas Kariolis, Head of Digital Marketing at Anglian Home Improvements.
