What's the secret to spotless wine glasses? Well, according to a new TikTok hack, soaking them in white vinegar and warm water could be the trick to clean cloudy smears.
One TikTok user, @mama_mila, shared the eco-friendly hack with her 85,000 followers, along with the caption: 'It's the little things.'
First, she filled the sink with warm water and two cups of white vinegar. Then, she submerged her smeary wine glasses in water before leaving them to soak for 10 minutes. 'Vinegar breaks down the mineral build-up,' she explained.
Once the 10 minutes were up, she took the glasses out and wiped them down gently with a microfibre cleansing cloth to remove any water droplets. The result? Smear-free shiny glasses, perfect for wowing guests at a dinner party.
As well as the wine glass cleaning hack, she also revealed a clever trick for removing streaks and fingerprints on reading glasses. 'Bonus tip: 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water can also be used as a natural cleaner for your glasses,' she said. Once you have made the solution, all you need to do is simply pour it into a spray bottle and spritz onto your reading glasses.
Whether you've got friends popping over for dinner or are hosting a wine tasting evening, there's nothing more frustrating than difficult-to-remove smears on glassware. Take a look at the video below and restore the shine...
