From choosing the right vase to adding sprigs of foliage and giving blooms some space, a few simple styling tweaks can elevate even the most budget-friendly bouquet. Better still, they won't cost you a penny.
Here are six florist-approved tricks to make supermarket flowers look more expensive.
1) Layer in seasonal foliage
If florists have one trick for making a bouquet look more expensive, it's adding in sprigs of greenery. The floral team at M&S recommend adding a few tall sprigs of foliage to your flowers to give 'structure, and a backdrop to show off your blooms'.
There's no need to head back out to the shops either – scour your garden or go for a local walk in search of tall greenery – wispy grass or branches will do. Not only does it make arrangements feel fuller and more considered, but it often outlasts the flowers themselves, helping displays look fresher for longer.
2) Style flowers for their setting
Placement is key. Before you start arranging, think about where your flowers will be displayed.
