Right now, Walmart has a better deal on Dyson’s best-selling V8 cordless vacuum cleaner by exactly $45. Equipped with a HEPA filter and able to convert easily to a handheld vacuum, this editor-backed Dyson is worth every penny, especially while it’s on sale.
The Dyson V8 Absolute model is nearly half off at Walmart, featuring a 40-minute runtime, two power modes (for everyday cleaning and deep cleaning), and a lightweight, compact design for easy maneuvering. It also comes with five different attachments: a Motorbar cleaner head that detangles and deep cleans, fluffy cleaner head featuring soft woven nylon and antistatic carbon fiber to pick up the tiniest particles and dust, crevice tool, combination tool, and hair screw tool for upholstery and pet hair removal.
The comparable V8 model on Amazon is also on sale at 36 percent off but is still $45 more than Walmart’s deal. Yet, within the same listing you’ll see another V8 model with a massive discount going for $270, but don’t be fooled; that one doesn’t come with the attachments as if you purchased from Dyson directly. This entry-level model lasts for years, according to House Beautiful’s Associate Shopping Editor Jessica Cherner. “It really does pick up every little thing on my floors—especially hair. Even after I do a thorough clean, there are still hairs all over the place, and zooming over them with the V8 (whether on the stick or with an attachment) gets them all up instantly,” she says.
Cherner has had hers for over four years and loves it. Over time, she did notice the battery life decreased, but she notes that it does charge quickly. “Luckily, I live in a one-bedroom, so it doesn't take long to go over the floors. It also takes months for the dust canister to fill up.”
